Qualifications
- Must be at least 35 years old
- Must be a citizen of the United States
- Must have lived in the United States for at least 14 years
Responsibilities
- Act as the Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy
- Grant reprieves and pardons for offences against the United States
- Make Treaties with the advice and consent of the Senate.
- Nominate and appoint Ambassadors, Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the Supreme Court, and other offices of the United States with the advice and consent of the Senate
- Fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate
- From time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient
- Faithfully execute and take care of the laws of the United States
